CargoItalia this month have added new routes from Malpensa Milan Airport to New York and Toronto.

CargoItalia will operate two weekly flights to North America operated with MD11SF aircraft. The new route Milan Malpensa – New York JFK – Toronto – Milan Malpensa follows the opening of services to Hong Kong.

CargoItalia is also looking at opening new routes to the Persian Gulf and Central Asia. The airline will expand its fleet with the arrival of a third MD11SF in early 2010.

CargoItalia aims to be become the leading Italian cargo airline at Milan Malpensa airport.

Cargoitalia has launched twice weekly Milan Malpensa Airport Hong Kong freighter service using MD-11SF aircraft.

Sales in Italy will be handled by the airline’s own sales team, while terminal and ramp handling at its Milan Malpensa Airport home base will be provided by ALHA and SEA respectively. In Hong Kong, Cargoitalia will be represented by New Asia Capital Resources Ltd, while handling will be performed by HACTL.

Cargoitalia Resume Operations

Cargoitalia the Italian air freight carrier managed by ALIS Aerolinee Italiane spa has completed the buyout of Alitalia’s freighter related business. The reorganization of the Italian air cargo industry has now been completed.

From next month, Cargoitalia will begin operations with 2 MD11-SF freighters from Milan Malpensa to New York, Toronto and Abu Dhabi.
